Well folks, this is it, the last day of June. It’s also the last Friday of the month, and therefore the last Friday post for our Revive Date Night series. When I first started thinking about this series I just thought it would be a fun way to commemorate my 10 year anniversary this month. I thought that my husband and I were pretty good about having fairly regular date nights but I figured this might help some other people… then I realized how much I truly needed this. I think that in one way or another a lot of us have fallen into a date night rut. Maybe we don’t have the time, the energy, the money, a babysitter, or a plan. I realized this month what my problem was–making date night a priority. This post is part of a collaboration with Pink Blush, all opinions are my own.
date night is about who you spend it with, not where
I realized it earlier this month when our scheduled date night came around and I was exhausted and stressed about a blog deadline. The “old me” would have probably just figured we could wait until next week. However, I knew I couldn’t let that happen now. Not when I was co-hosting a blog series about making date night a priority!

So I sent the hubby out for take out. Then we watched some Netflix while we enjoyed at late dinner after the kiddos went to bed. Some of you might think that’s not a big deal or doesn’t qualify as a date. However, for us, nights of just relaxing at home and watching a show together are extremely rare these days. And that simple time spent together was just what we needed that week!

I also realized I needed to work on my priorities with my relationship last week. W went to Vegas for a little anniversary getaway and my laptop accidentally got left at home. For about 30 minutes I thought it was the end of the world. It ended up being the best thing that could have happened to me that weekend! You can read more about that here.

And so I’m going to continue to make date night a priority. I’m looking forward to fun ways to step out of our routine and try new things. I hope that you’ll join me! Please continue to use #ReviveDateNight on Instagram so I can see what you and your sweetheart are up to! Whether you’re dressing to the nines for a fancy dinner or staying comfortable while exploring your own town.

Speaking of comfortable, I’ve raved before about how comfortable the clothing from PinkBlush is and this top is no exception. Super flowy and comfortable, this Ivory Cuffed Sleeve Tunic is fantastic. It’s perfect for looking pulled together in the hot summer without melting into a puddle. I’d been looking for an oversized white tee that I could dress up or dress down, this fit the bill.
When’s the last time you had date night?

I loved this series so much! I definitely needed it… we were in such a rut, basically having a date night for the sake of having a date night. So this was exactly what we needed!
What a great reminder! We’re really bad at getting date nights in but it’s so important! Thanks for sharing!
I love pink blush! They make the cutest dresses! Such a fun post.
What a great series! Date nights are hard to come by for us, but we do try and it seems we are doing much better making it a priority. Pink Blush is the best and you look great!

We’re going to Vegas for our anniversary in two weeks! Love the hashtag!
You look So cute! Your outfit and your hair! Now I want to plan something with my hubby!
You two are so cute. I’ve been seeing your posts about making date night a priority and know I need to do better. It’s so easy to get caught in a rut at night, especially after the kids go down because my husband and I both need alone time in order to unwind. But I really want to try harder!
I love this idea! I have a post but I still need to write it. :/
Such a great reminder to keep our priorities in check! It seems like so much of life is full of the daily run around- it’s sometimes hard to remember the big pictures. Love this!
My husband and I both work at home, so you’d think its easy for us to have a date night, but no, it doesn’t work that way. We are both swamped with work and it seems so difficult to free up some time to go on a date. I will have to make plans for a date night soon. We really need to take some time off.
