About a month ago I was able to help co-host a baby shower for a friend of mine. The theme we decided to go with was “sugar and spice and everything nice”. Since I was in charge of decorations for this girl baby shower, I picked a pink and turquoise color scheme. I love how it all turned out and can’t wait to share it with you!

I had a lot of pink and turquoise stuff that I was able to use for décor already. All the fabric, tablecloths, and glassware were items I already had. For cups I used glass soda bottles I had and I already happened to have the pink and turquoise straws to go in them. As part of the decorations I made the mom-to-be some personalized onesies. They went along with the color scheme so I could use them for décor too! This was also my first attempt at making a diaper cake and it was much easier than I had thought.

food and favors
We skipped a meal and focused on sweet treats. We also had a yummy cream cheese dip and some fresh fruit to balance out all the sweets. Another friend of ours made the cake and kept with the pink and turquoise colors. We also had mini cupcakes because you can never have enough cake, right? For the game prizes we stayed with the with the “sugar and spice” theme. Simple cake mixes in a jar were fun prizes to hand out to the winners!
