This weekend is the semiannual conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It happens twice a year, in the Spring and in the Fall. It’s a chance for members of our church, as well as anyone else with access to the internet, to listen to living prophets. This is something that I look forward to all year long! I love being able to relax in my own home and hear uplifting, spiritual messages. Our kids look forward to it to and they’re finally getting old enough to start taking notes while we’re listening. Our general conference notes help us review what was said for the following months after conference. It’s a great addition to our family scripture study!

how to take general conference notes

I love referring back to my notes and quotes from general conference. My method is pretty simple, I have a journal I write in and just take them in order of the speakers. Usually I make sure to jot down at least a quote and a couple main points from each speaker. There really isn’t any right or wrong way to take notes though! Despite what my high school English teachers tried to tell me.

Today I have a free printable for you if you want to take some general conference notes. You can print one up for each speaker (usually 6-8 each session), or just one paper per session. For younger kids you might want to stick with one note paper per conference session and encourage drawing. Like I said, there’s no right or wrong way to take notes!
