Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend; mine was busy but oh-so-good. I helped throw another baby shower on Saturday and I am very excited to share this adorable little peanut baby shower with y’all! I also have a fun idea for an easy baby shower activity incorporating Huggies® Little Snugglers diapers later in the post.

You already saw my “little peanut” pallet sign a couple weeks ago, and I also had some nods to the little peanut theme with a “guess how many peanuts in the jar” (there were 320, in case you’re dying to know) and candy peanut clusters as favors. I  made a sewn paper garland and a rag scrap banner incorporating the pink and gray color scheme. Those are some of my go-tos for party decorating because it’s so easy to make them to fit any scheme. I also found some cute pink and gray elephant onesies and had a little sad moment as I realized how much my own baby has grown in the past 7 months.
Let’s have a moment of silence for our babies growing up too fast, shall we?

We had some fun baby shower games, and of course there was lots of delicious food that I am still dreaming about. Sometimes I get excited about parties just for the yummy food I know I’ll get to eat—true story.

In addition to fun games, I also always like to have some type of “passive” activity that guests can do, something a little more low key that they can do at their leisure. One of those was the “guess the peanuts” game I mentioned earlier, and the other is a cute Little Snuggler Notes activity that is not only an easy activity to pull together but is also a great gift for the mom-to-be!

Of course, every new mom needs lots of diapers so, in addition to making a diaper cake, I created a fun and simple activity that would be perfect for any baby shower! I don’t know about you, but I find that sometimes changing diapers can get a bit, um, tedious, especially in the middle of the night when you’re exhausted and accidentally put the new diaper on over the dirty diaper…

Not that I have ever done that.

Nope.

I love this activity for a baby shower because it’s simple to put together and it’s practical—what new mom doesn’t need all the diapers she can get?! Just make sure you supply plenty of diapers and some markers for writing with and let your guests know that the objective is to write either some words of encouragement or something funny to chuckle over in the “wee” hours of the morning, hehe…
I crack myself up.

With four kids under the age of six—two of which are currently in diapers—I have a lot of experience with diapers, and Huggies® Little Snugglers are my absolute favorite for squishy little newborns. They seem to fit my babies the best and stay in place—even as they get bigger and start moving more (my 7 month old is definitely testing them out right now as she’s learning to crawl!). Their GentleAbsorb Liner is a cushiony layer that is great for helping to keep my baby’s skin dry. I especially love the wetness indicator that changes color when your baby needs to be changed; it is so convenient!

 Huggies at Walmart

For this activity I picked up several packages of Huggies® Little Snugglers, sizes NB-2 from my local Walmart. Even though I’m always on a budget they are such a great value there that I was also able to pick up some Huggies® Natural Care Wipes. These wipes have the TripleClean Layers that I love because they are perfect for my baby’s sensitive skin but still tough enough to get the job done! Mike and I have even gotten in the habit of tearing each one in half and it still holds up to the toughest, um, situations. And although I could have conveniently gone to Walmart’s website to do my shopping online, my littlest Miss and I had a special shopping trip to Walmart just the two of us; she helped me find everything I needed in the diaper aisle.

As I was unpacking everything for the baby shower I had another nostalgic moment when I opened up the package of teeny, tiny newborn size diapers with the umbilical cord cut-out—how do I always forget how small babies start out?

I also printed up a little sign that read, “Leave a little note on a Little Snuggler for a little peanut” to help tie everything into the shower theme.
Then, once the shower is over, just package up the diapers and wipes for the new mom-to-be; it’s also a great idea to put them in a basket that the new mom can use in the nursery.
