It’s important to note that the very first post on this blog is a tutorial for making baby leg warmers. Becoming a mom has been such a wild ride this year. As much as I love it, I am in desperate need of a creative outlet. I have been having a blast making personalized items for my little man and I’m so excited to share the things I make with you!
why baby leg warmers?
I recently had to start making baby leg warmers for my little dove because the weather has turned chilly. This native California girl isn’t sure what to think about this cool fall Texas weather! Not only are they super adorable, they are so practical! They keep your baby’s legs warm, even during diaper changes. They also provide some padding and protection for your little one’s knees once they start crawling. Best of all though–they really are just so darn cute.
These baby leg warmers are made from a super soft and stretchy sock material. It’s the perfect thing so they will easily move and stay in place with even the squirmiest babes. Bonus–they also will fit them for a long while. We all know one of the most frustrating things about baby clothing is how quickly they grow out of them!
materials needed:
- knee high socks
- fabric scissors
- sewing machine

Even those with the most minimal of sewing skills will be able to make these baby leg warmers. All you have to do is cut the toe part off–leaving the part of sock from ankle and up. Then create a hem around the unfinished edge and sew a stretch stitch to finish off!
