“happy heart day!” cards: mad libs valentine

Creative idea to send a Mad Libs Valentine

Table of Contents

Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away. Which means I’m right down to the wire with sending out Valentine cards to our friends and family far away. We love where we live but it is hard being so far away from our family. Especially when I think about my parents not getting to see their grandson regularly. We want them to know we love them and what better way to say “I’m thinking of you” than with a handmade card? I love sending them cards featuring photos (like below) but this idea for a Mad Libs valentine is fun too!

what are Mad Libs?

I don’t know about you but our family loves Mad Libs! A bonus is that they’re a fun way for kids to practice their grammar without even realizing it! They’re also great to bring on road trips and complete together as a family. If you’re not aware, Mad Libs is a fun word game where you need to fill in the blanks of a story with a particular type of speech. The more disjointed the word is from the rest of the story, the funnier the end result is! You can even play online by clicking here!

how to make your own Mad Libs valentine

I love making my own cards, however at Christmas time we send off more than 50 cards so I don’t make those. I love sending out cards all year though and I typically make the other cards that I send out. This year I made a couple of different kinds, a Mad Libs valentine and one with the cutest picture of my son. I know that our friends and family will love either one.
