Today is my little dove’s birthday and the start of another birthday bash week! I can’t believe my little man is already 2 years old, such a big boy. π
To start this week off I wanted to share a couple of things from my son’s first birthday that I didn’t get around to posting last year.
First of all, I had (and still have) plenty of felt leftover from the felt playhouse and in addition to making my son’s party hat, I also made him a birthday shirt. It’s not that clear in this picture, but I just made a simple cupcake with some “sprinkles” (embroidery thread) on top. I think it turned out pretty cute.
And here is the birthday boy’s cake, nothing too fancy, I just made two Funfetti sheet cakes and carved a giant “C” out of both cakes. Then I stacked them and filled them with some chocolate mousse filling. Yum. I used melted white chocolate (my favorite thing to write on cakes with because it writes really smoothly) to write the message on the top after asking what my husband what “c” words described our son (I edited out my son’s name in this picture).
