I’ve been wanting to make a frame wreath for awhile now but didn’t have/couldn’t find a frame that I liked for the purpose. Finally I decided to just go buy a length of molding from Home Depot and make my own. So this project ended up costing me about $10. If I’d looked around a little longer I probably could have found something cheaper at the ReStore or something, but still not too expensive.
I started by cutting four lengths to the size I wanted (16 x 20″) with mitered cuts.
Then after sanding the edges to make sure they would meet up nice and smoothly, I attached them with wood glue and used a staple gun to reinforce the joint.
After making the cuts in the wood I was concerned about the size, thinking maybe I should have made it smaller, but once I got it up I was really pleased with it. And how pretty is that front door, huh? you know what’s really fancy about it, that “glass” isn’t really glass, it’s plastic. I know, you’re jealous aren’t you? 😉
