chocolate peppermint bath salts

Table of Contents

So here is one of the few non-food items that I’m posting this month, but it still smells so good you might wish you could eat it. Bath salts are so easy to make and make such a nice gift, even if someone is strictly a “shower” person, these are great for soaking your feet in after a long day or when you’re pampering yourself with a home pedicure.

Today we’re going to be  making chocolate peppermint bath salts, which are perfect for a gift for Valentine’s day! You could made some to give to a friend along with some nice lotion or nail strips; or you could make a basket for your spouse and include some candles, maybe some massage oil… you get the idea. 😉
Supplies:
  • 2 cups of Epsom Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract (you can also use essential oils, but keep in mind they’re stronger and you’ll want to use less as that can irritate the skin).
  • 1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
  • Gift tags (optional, available PDF {here})

Simply mix together and enjoy!

I absolutely loved taking a bath using this. LOVED it. The combination smells of chocolate and peppermint was SO nice. My only silly hitch was when my husband commented on the unusual color of my bath-water. ha ha ha ha!!!

Ha! Same thing here, I ran my bath and the hubby was like, "um, what's in the bath water?" 🙂
