western party invites

Howdy y’all! We’re gearing up over here for my kiddo’s combined cowboy/cowgirl birthday party in just a couple weeks and I am so excited! I finished up their invitations and I love the way they turned out, although I do apologize once again for the weird Photoshop erasing of names and personal details. 🙂
As I was planning these out I tried to think of a way to give both my little ones a moment in the spotlight and I think these are a great way to do it. Trying to be frugal and keep costs down (this is, after all, a party for a 1 and 3 year old), I just printed up two per page on standard white cardstock. Then I inked the edges and colored in a few of the letters with blue and red colored pencils (although you can’t really tell in these pictures). And by the way, I just used Microsoft Word to make these, so no fancy sopftwatre or programs needed! Printing these up on  Kraft paper or textured cardstock would be super cute too. The envelopes are just standard 6×9″ manila envelopes, but keep in mind that if your manilia envelopes have metal clasps then it adds 20 cents to your mailing costs, otherwise a 6×9″ size is the regular first-class rate. Just a little tip from me to you. 😉 The fonts I used are all free downloads and are: GoldRush, Thunderbird, Playbill, My Own Topher, and the horse silhouettes are a font called YeeHaw.
