No matter what you’re doing in the great outdoors or where you’re going, it’s important to be prepared. When you’re a Ma or Pa on a Pioneer Trek that’s especially true. Not only do you have to be prepared for yourself, but also for your “family”. Today I’m sharing what I took along for our simple travel first aid kits.
simple travel first aid kits
This week I quickly put together our travel first aid kit we’re supposed to bring. Although there is also going to be a medical team on hand, each Ma and Pa are also supposed to have a little kit of some items to take care of more simple problems with us in our handcart. They gave us a list of suggestions, and I substituted some things and added some others. Let’s take a look inside, shall we?
Of course I have the normal first aid items: band-aids, alcohol swabs, Neosporin, Ibuprofen, etc. I also included some cough drops and a few simple sewing items, just in case. Everything fits nicely in an empty juice mix container and cut out some vinyl with my Silhouette machine, because I had to make it cute. I think this is a pretty good and concise kit. After Trek is over I’m going to keep it in my car. I really should already have something in there already, but I don’t. Now that my little Miss is getting so big and adventurous, I have two little ones scraping up knees and bruising foreheads!
