I can still remember vivid details about where I was on this morning 12 years ago. I can remember exactly who I was with and what I was doing; when I heard the news on the radio my first initial thought was, “is this some kind of a sick joke?” Even though I live in California and thankfully, did not personally know anyone affected directly form the tragedy of 9/11, I think that it is one of the events in American history that affects everyone, including future generations. May we never forget, and may we always be proud of who we are.
As I mentioned last week when I shared my mantel post, I’ve been reading Pride and Prejudice again and it inspired an anniversary card. I had to build up my stock of cards recently since I have three family anniversaries in the month of September. So, now my stash of cards is pretty full again and I should be good for awhile since after September (three anniversaries and two birthdays), the rest of the year is pretty barren of family celebrations.
In case you’re having trouble reading what it says, “Wishing you many years in which you’ll be ‘Completely and perfectly and incandescently happy’.” (Can you tell I also recently watched the movie?) I like that it could be used for a wedding or an anniversary. 🙂
