DIY branch votive holder

Table of Contents

It is driving me crazy that I can’t get a good picture of this project. It really is so cute in person and I sad the pictures don’t do it justice. But, regardless of picture quality, I had to share this completely free and easy, two-step DIY branch votive holder. It is just perfect to add to your fall and winter decor.

Step one: Find a small branch that you like; look in your yard or the park, ask friends, whatever.
Step two: Using a 1 1/2″ drill bit (after confirming that’s the size of you votive candles) then drill a hole the depth of the votive candle.
Okay, one more step: Take a step back and marvel at the fact that you just made this in less than 15 minutes for free, when places are selling them for $$$ {like here or here}.

A few days after I finished making this, I walked into my friend’s house and saw a beautiful one she had just made that was longer than this one. She had painted it white and I love that too, so keep in mind that you could easily paint this white or metallic or black… so many different things you could do to customize it the way you want for any holiday or decor scheme!
