We had a great time trick-or-treating yesterday. Both of my kids were really into it this year and it was so fun to see how much they were enjoying it. My son kept telling everyone to have a “happy Halloween!”, and my daughter would look in her bucket with surprise whenever someone would drop something into it. 🙂
But still, I am really excited to be moving into Thanksgiving and Christmas season. I always love this time of year, but this year I’m especially excited to be spending time with family and baking and planning big meals. My son seems to be feeling the same way, he woke up this morning asking to watch the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Special… a kid after my own heart. 😉 I was excited to take my un-inspired Halloween mantel decor down and spruce it up for November, and this time I am really pleased with the results (even if the lighting in these pictures sucks).
I got all the pretty fall branches from our yard and put them into some containers I bought at Ikea awhile back. I love these things and they’re not only working really well with the colors of my house, but I liked the aqua pop against all the brown and orange for this November mantel.
My “grateful praise” sign of course had to make a comeback this year, I love this sign! You can read about how I made it {here}.
Here it is lit up at night; I bought the light garland on clearance at Target form their garden section just last week and I wish I had bought more than one, oh well.
Don’t forget about the Costume Party link up! You can enter through November 3rd!
