Last week on Pi Day a friend of mine had a birthday party and she threw a “pie party”, it was so much fun, just a bunch of families hanging out and chatting, kids running around like little hooligans, and lots of pie that people brought (I took my red velvet pie). I wanted to take her a little present and since she’s pretty much a master baker and it was a pie party, I thought that a pie themed present would be appropriate.
I picked up a glass pie dish while I was at the grocery store and etched a design I made with my Silhouette. Then I also pulled out a new dishcloth I had (I had bought a big pack of them for a project and only used two) and cut the same bird in the design out of heat transfer material and ironed it on. I wrapped the pie plate in the dishcloth to make a cute and practical wrapping. 🙂
