I’m wishing the happiest March to you! Can you believe that we’re already two months into another year? For my March mantel I wanted to celebrate spring and bring some nature inside. And of course, with St. Patrick’s Day coming up I had to feature lots of green, right? Truth be told, greenery is one of my favorite things to decorate with–it instantly makes every space nicer! In addition to some fresh boughs from outside, I wanted to utilize things that I already had and loved. Why buy new when you can shop from your own storage? Plus, if you’re not going to use something, why are you still hanging onto it?!
March mantel details
As I was thinking about what to put on my mantel this month, I realized how much I was missing the items that I would normally put on my mantel. So for my March mantel I decided to grab my pictures that normally go on the mantel. I kept the base décor simple but then I thought, “What says March and St. Patrick’s Day more than green and gold?” So I found my gold painted jars and can, and I went outside and cut some branches off our tree. I secured the branches with gravel from our front yard and added a little bit of water, in the hopes that the little green leaves and white flower buds would stay on the branches for awhile. Super simple and it’s my favorite mantel in months.
