I saw this phrase on one of my friend’s Pinterest boards and I just fell in love with it; just think about it.
Cultivate kindness.
I think it’s such an important ideal. It also made me think of {this talk} by Dallin H. Oaks that I got to listen to last weekend during the general conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. If you have a few minutes click on the link and read or listen to it.
I’ve actually been trying to make this sign for awhile but it was just one of those projects that, for some reason, I just ran into a ton of issues. Like originally it was supposed to be stained, like my Phantom of the Opera sign. But you just reach a certain point where you’re tired of trying to make it work and you’ve got to figure something else out or give up.
I hate giving up on a craft idea.
So, I ended up using gray spray paint I had on hand instead of wood stain, and I actually really like the way it turned out, even if it’s not perfect. 🙂
So come on everyone, go out there and cultivate some kindness, because as Dallin H. Oaks said in his talk, “kindness is powerful”
