Happy Halloween! What do you love most about this holiday? Do you lean more towards spooky décor or just keeping it festive for fall? I love decking out the house in all things fall–corn stalks, gourds, pumpkins, hay bales–you name it! Normally, the day before Halloween I go crazy with spider webbing. However, this year rain is in the forecast. So I decided to forgo the cotton webbing mess this year. I still have my pretty Fall porch to enjoy though! Need some design inspiration for next year? Check it out!
wishing you a Happy Halloween!
I love having a festive porch to greet our guests during the fall. I fill it with more “generic” fall items such as hay bales and gourds. Then as we get close to Halloween I’ll add in more spooky specific things. Our carved pumpkins will make it a couple days before Halloween, as well as any fake spiders or bats I want to add. I’m never in a hurry to decorate for fall since I’m Team Long Live Summer. However, once I’m ready to decorate I really like to go all out! If you happen to get a hay bale you should know that they’re also great for winterizing plants in your garden during the cold months. Or you can cover the bale and store in a dry place to reuse next year!
