A couple years ago I shared how to make your own chocolate peppermint bath salts and today I’ve got another great bath product for you!
I love making my own bath products, it’s so simple and they make great gifts! The combination of lavender and oatmeal make this soothing bath soak a relaxing way to end any day. Oatmeal has amazing benefits for your skin and is something that most everyone already has in their kitchen! I like to grind mine up fine in my food processor before adding to my bath salts, you receive more of the benefits that way.
- 2 cups of bath salts
- 1 cup of oatmeal
- 1/4 cup of lavender buds
- 10 drops of lavender essential oils
These bath salts in Mason jars would make such pretty gifts, and look so nice sitting out on your bathroom counter. 🙂 You could even set up a little make-your-bath-salt station for a fun girl’s night in like I did for my Favorite Things party last year!

Thanks for pinning Courtney!
Every once in awhile you've just got to soak in a bath… my husband doesn't get it. Poor guy is missing out. 🙂
This mixture is so nice for dry skin, especially right now in the winter!
Hi Carrie! Thanks for checking it out! I'm sure I'll have more bath products in the future. 🙂 Be sure to check in my archives for other DIY body products!
I can't wait to try this! I took a bath on Valentines' Day for the first time in such a long time, I forgot how much I loved them!
I think I need to take some time for R&R this week and give this a try!
Definitely! Enjoy, you deserve a break Heather, all that kitchen remodeling and whatnot! 🙂
