strawberries & cream cookies

I have got some tasty cookies for you today, just in time for Valentine’s Day tomorrow!
I am a big fan of strawberry Oreo milkshakes from Carl’s Jr., and these strawberries and cream cookies taste like a cookie version of that!
I found this recipe on Butter With a Side of Bread and tweaked it a little bit when I happened to see some Berry Oreos on sale at my grocery store.
You can find the original recipe {here}, and these are the alterations I made:
  • Instead of 1 tsp. of vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp. of vanilla and 1 tsp. of strawberry extracts
  • Instead of 1 cup of white chocolate chips, 1/2 cup each of white and milk chocolate chips
  • Berry flavored Oreos instead of regular Oreos
  • Some red gel food coloring to achieve the color 🙂

I really enjoyed these and the addition of the milk chocolate chips was perfect. Since I made them on the smaller side, I was able to get about 4 dozen cookies out of my batch.

Hope you all have a very Happy Valentine’s day tomorrow!

I tried a small batch with only the white chips, and it was okay. But I added the milk ones to the next batch and they were so much better!

Wait, they have a berry flavored Oreo?!?! I've heard about the Red Velvet one but I must have missed something. I think this is the 5th food post I've seen today and I need to pin this to make on a weekend with Miss M 🙂 Can't wait to try it.
