st. patrick’s day shirts

Since my kids don’t really have a lot of green clothes, and I don’t want anyone pinching those cuties but myself, I decided to whip up a couple of St. Patrick’s Day shirts for my little leprechauns.
Green is not a color shirt I keep in stock, so I had to venture out to Wal-Mart (my local go-to place for plain t-shirts) and I let each of my kids pick out the green shirt of their choice. I love the mint and grey striped shirt little Miss E picked out, but of course my son picked out the brightest, most obnoxious color green there it. I will say though, he looks pretty cute in it. πŸ™‚
I used silver glitter heat transfer for my daughter’s shirt to put the phrase “mommy’s lucky charm” across the front. It’s pretty subtle in person, which I like, although it is much easier to see than in these pictures. The font I used is Amelie, which is a free download.
I made my son’s like a team jersey, with the text on the back. It was pretty cute when he ran to his room to try it on and he came out with the shirt on backwards. He was a little confused when I told him that on this shirt the picture went on the back, totally new concept for him. πŸ™‚

I can’t wait to see my little cuties wearing them this St. Patrick’s Day! This is the first year that I’m really going to be doing much on the day for them and I’m excited to see what they think. Do you have anything planned?

These are adorable! I love the idea of making the shirts. We don't have anything planned for st. Patrick's day, but maybe I'll get a shamrock shake haha.

Cute! I actually like the bright green. I doubt I could pull it off, but kids make everything cuter πŸ™‚

These are so cute! I was just thinking that my baby girl probably doesn't have any green to wear either…. I will have to use my cameo too. I love that machine. I don't want to give any one an excuse to pinch her!

Yes, I really wanted something they could wear all year and not have it be glaringly obvious that it was a holiday shirt.

You did such a great job! I'm the mom that forgets it's St. Patty's day until I drop the kids off to find a sea of green amongst their peers. Oops! Oh well. I'm sure littles looked adorable.
