Today I wanted to share three essential oils I use in my beauty routine, and why you should consider using them as well!
//Frankincense//
I use frankincense at nighttime by adding a drop to my palm of face lotion and then massaging it in before I go to bed. The past couple of years I had noticed a lot of age/sun spots and general discoloration of my overall skin tone. I guess all those years of neglecting my skin while I was growing up were finally catching up with me. Among the many benefits of this amazing oil, frankincense has been known to promote cellar health and helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, minimize age spots, and even our skin tone. I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin tone and overall appearance since I began using it a few months ago!
//Geranium//
Geranium is great for both dry and oily hair. I have really noticed a difference in how much cleaner my hair feels and shinier my hair looks when I add a drop to my palm of shampoo. (You can also add 5-10 drops directly into your shampoo bottle.) Geranium also offers great benefits for soothing skin, and it really helped with a dry patch that I use to have problems with at the base of my scalp! This oil has a very strong scent that my husband is not a fan of, but mixed in with my shampoo he’s never complained. 🙂
//Lavender//
Add a drop or two to you mascara bottle (just once) and it will smell like you walked into a spa every time you uncap your tube. More importantly though, lavender has antiseptic and antibacterial properties which will help keep bacteria out of your mascara, helping it to stay bacteria and clump-free longer. Lavender also reportedly strengthens your lashes and promotes growth. Thicker, longer lashes? Yes please!
Do you use any essential oils in your beauty or skincare regimen?

I really need to get some oils. Can you buy them at a store locally or do we have to order them? Any suggestions on one for muscle soreness?
I have been seeing a lot of people selling this but I never know what I am suppose to be buying it for. You cleared up some of my confusion! TY
Some specialty stores will sell essential oils, you just want to be sure that you're buying good quality, therapeutic grade oils. I love doTERRA, but I know there are other brands that people are big fans of. doTERRA makes an oil blend called Deep Blue that is AMAZING for sore muscles. Seriously, I have had major back and sciatic issues and this stuff has worked wonders. It also comes in a Deep Blue rub. That's what I usually use for pain, but when it's really severe I double it up with oil AND rub together.
Essential oils have so many uses Laura, and I don't even sell them, I just love them! 🙂
I haven't thought to use my oils in my beauty routine, but this is genius! I'll have to try these, especially the Frankincense for sun spots.
One of these days I will give Essential Oils a try! I love lavender-scented anything, so I just know I would be obsessed with the lavender oil!
I love the lavender in the mascara idea! I've never heard of that!

Wow, there's so many great ways to use essential oils. Never thought about using them on my face before. Definitely gonna do some more research on which oils do what.
It's great Logan! Geranium works really well for that too, btu the scent is just pretty strong. 🙂
It works really well! I have definitely noticed a longer shelf life to my mascara.
There are so many uses for essential oils! It can really be overwhelming at first. A good resource book is key, or a super knowledgeable friend. 🙂
