This weekend is the semiannual conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It happens twice a year, in the Spring and in the Fall. It’s a chance for members of our church, as well as anyone else with access to the internet, to listen to living prophets. This is something that I look forward to all year long! I love being able to relax in my own home and hear uplifting, spiritual messages. Our kids look forward to it to and they’re finally getting old enough to start taking notes while we’re listening. Our general conference notes help us review what was said for the following months after conference. It’s a great addition to our family scripture study!

how to take general conference notes
I love referring back to my notes and quotes from general conference. My method is pretty simple, I have a journal I write in and just take them in order of the speakers. Usually I make sure to jot down at least a quote and a couple main points from each speaker. There really isn’t any right or wrong way to take notes though! Despite what my high school English teachers tried to tell me.

Today I have a free printable for you if you want to take some general conference notes. You can print one up for each speaker (usually 6-8 each session), or just one paper per session. For younger kids you might want to stick with one note paper per conference session and encourage drawing. Like I said, there’s no right or wrong way to take notes!

I love this! Thank you!
Great, thank you for sharing your printables! And that quote from Elaine Cannon is a new favorite of mine… very powerful. I hope you find quite time to listen to the Conference. Enjoy!
This is great! This will come in handy for college students who listen to general conference and love to take notes…Love this idea. I remember as a college student, the first time I went to conference (all the students watched at a member's house) I was so unprepared and did not bring anything. When conference is on I am the type of person that has to write things down.
This is so neat — thanks for sharing the printable!
Those printables are perfect! And I love your handwriting!
Haha Alicia, that's sweet of you to say because I have always coveted other peoples' handwriting. 😉
I love that quote too! And thank you… we had some quiet moments and some not-so-quiet moments, luckily I can always watch it online again. 🙂
I love writing things down. there are just so many good quotes and thoughts that pop into my head. Plus, sometimes I get a little too comfortable sitting on my couch and it helps keep me awake so I don't miss anything. 😉
