acts of kindness to do with your kids this school year

Random acts of kindness to do with your kids this school year.

Table of Contents

Something that I have been thinking a lot about lately is ways to spread more kindness. The world could always use more light and goodness. This is also something that I want to instill in my children and I don’t think it’s ever too young to start! Here are some fun random acts of kindness with kids that are perfect to do this school year. There are ten of them so you could pick one to do with your child each month that they’re in school. This site has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company, Kellogg Company, J.M. Smucker Company, and The HERSHEY’S Company. All opinions are completely my own.

These are such great RAK! I love the idea of doing on a month throughout the school year, what a great way to keep your focus on where it should be! And I love this program too–hard to beat getting great products and free books!

I love that you are teaching kindness to your kindness. Though I do think it should be more about action vs giving things

    • Justine @ Little Dove August 23, 2016 at 9:54 pm #

Action is great too, for sure! That is definitely something we encourage with our kids, just sometimes it’s easier for such little ones to give rather than serve.

I love these ideas! It is so good to teach our children kindness. That is so awesome that you homeschool! I hope to be able to homeschool my children when they are older! I’ve already been doing preschool with my 17 month old ?

What a great idea. We’ll be doing this. I’m so into making sure the kiddies know how truly blessed we are and that we should share it. And giving to others is (of course) something we absolutely encourage!

    • Justine @ Little Dove August 23, 2016 at 9:58 pm #

Thanks for your comment Jen. Yes, we are workign on really making sure our kids know how blessed we are in our lives and that it’s so important to show love to others!

  14. Shann August 2, 2016 at 7:07 pm #

I love these ideas! I really want to do more things like this with my kids too. I especially love the back-to-school packs, and coloring pictures for nursing homes.

    • Justine @ Little Dove August 23, 2016 at 10:01 pm #

Thanks Shann! Yes, I also think that the little back to school goodies help kids get excited about going back too if they haven’t been.

These are all great ideas! We made teacher gifts around holiday times or at the end of the year. Teachers work hard, so we wanted to show them appreciation.

    • Justine @ Little Dove August 23, 2016 at 10:05 pm #

Thanks for your comment Erin! And yes, they work so hard and it’s such a good idea to show them some gratitude!

I LOVE these ideas! I had no idea some of these even existed!Thank you!

  22. Ashley Newell August 7, 2017 at 5:05 pm #

I love the ideas especially going to the fire station! They buy all their own food and drinks that they use when they are at work which seems like a shame since sometimes they have to leave in the middle of eating or cooking.

  23. Shani | Sunshine & Munchkins August 9, 2017 at 9:08 pm #

I love these ideas! And I totally agree that kids are never too young to participate in acts of kindness.
