Happy Valentine’s Day Eve friends, are you ready for tomorrow? This year for my hubby’s gift I wanted to focus on simple ways that I could show him love so I headed off to Walmart to pick up some essentials. My little shopping trip was a reminder that there are so many simple ways to show love. Keep reading for a few of my thoughts! 8 simple ways to show love
If you’re looking for something a little different this year for gift giving, how about focusing on small gifts or simple acts of service for your loved one? Here are some ideas to get you started:
make your sweetheart a hot lunch
I must admit, mornings seem to go so quickly trying to get my kids ready for the day and out the door. Sometimes Mike and I barely even see each other before he has to leave for work. Occasionally I’ll try to make him breakfast, but having time to make him a lunch? That’s another story. Luckily, Campbell’s Well Yes!™ Soup products are a great mealtime solution. They can make it a little easier to pack a tasty, hot lunch for your sweetheart. With nine flavors to choose from that are free from artificial colors and ingredients you’re sure to find a flavor that your spouse will love.
start a “warm towel service”
In the wintertime when it’s cold outside nothing says “I’m thinking of you” quite like a warm towel to wrap yourself up in after a shower. When your spouse hops in the shower grab their towel and throw it in the dryer on high for a few minutes. It’ll be a nice surprise when they’re finished and they just might return the favor for you someday.

think outside the box and do something unexpected
Most of us have certain jobs that we do around the house. For example, in our house mowing our property is usually something that my husband does. Whereas, washing the floors is my forte. When I really want to help my husband out and show him I was thinking of him, I try to get the mowing done while he’s at work. Think of a task that your loved one typically does and surprise them with getting it done yourself!
show love by writing a love note
There are so many ways that you can write a little love note to your sweetheart. You don’t have to spend money on a greeting card if you don’t want to. Even just a short text during the day can speak volumes about how much you care about them. This only counts though if you’re not asking them to run an errand on the way home from work though, wink wink. Another fun way to leave little love letters are with sticky notes that you can put on the bathroom mirror or in their car.

plan ahead–have dinner ready
Days around our house are usually pretty crazy and sometimes the end of the day just sneaks up on me. My sweet husband–bless his heart–never complains when dinner isn’t ready when he gets home. Dinner prep is something I’m continually working on. However, I also love to have some easy meals stashed away that I can pull together in a snap. The Sweet Potato Corn Chowder Campbell’s Well Yes!™ Soup is a delicious addition to your meal. I love that my kids are getting red peppers and wild rice in every bite. It’s so much easier to get dinner on the table on time with Campbell’s and clean up is a breeze!
plan something they’ll love
Does your spouse have an interest that does not interest you? Like, at all? Plan a date night revolving around something they like to do! It will probably mean the world to them that you not only put the effort into planning a date, but you were so thoughtful about what they would like to do.

wake up with the kids
I don’t know about you, but when my husband wakes up with the kids that’s pretty much when I love him the most. Joking! But, sleep is precious around these parts. So, I know when my spouse gets up with the kids on weekend mornings that he’s really sending me lots of love. Or maybe your spouse likes to wake up and take the animals for their morning constitutional. If that’s the case, pick one morning a week to wake up early with them and spend some quality time together.
plan a date night at home
Not every date night has to be fancy or cost lots of money. When you have little ones at home it can be especially hard when you have to worry about a babysitter. Plan a date night at home after the kids go to bed. Make a simple dinner and add a side of veggies with Campbell’s Well Yes!™ Soup. Use your wedding china to make it extra special.

I love when we have a simple meal like a soup and salad or even sandwiches and soup. It allows us to enjoy more time together in the evening and less time cleaning up the aftermath of making the meal.
I love this!! For my husband and I it’s all about the little things – so this rings so true!! Thanks for sharing!
The best things are the little things. Love this post! #client
Love this post! My husband will definitely benefit from this as his love language is acts of love. I, on the other hand, loves sweet gestures like a simple “I miss you” message or a random act of sweetness!

Love this, It really is the acts of love that show others how much we love them. I make breakfast sandwiches and burritos and freeze them so my husband has a healthy and homemade start to his day.
Food is definitely the way to my stomach. 🙂 I always associated prepared food with love & care.
I’ve heard this soup is tasty and I love the idea of warm bowl service too!!
Warm *towel* service 😉
