This past weekend my family and I were invited back to Tower Park Resort to experience their Halloween weekend. It was the perfect combination of camping, a family vacation, and some Halloween fun. Their Halloween-themed weekends are happening every weekend in October. In fact they just added the first weekend in November because demand was so high! Keep reading to find out about all of the festive fun you can have while Halloween glamping! This post is in collaboration with Jellystone Park-Tower Park Resort in Lodi, California. All opinions are my own.
Halloween glamping tips
come in costume
When we packed for our weekend at Jellystone Park-Tower Park Resort we brought along costumes for the trick-or-treating in the park. However, my kids and lots others spent most of the weekend in their costumes! How fun is that?? How often can you say that you got to wear your Halloween costume while camping? There’s even a costume parade and costume contest and some people get really creative.
trick-or-treat yourself
One of the first things you probably think about when someone mentions Halloween is trick-or-treating. Well, Tower Park Resort has you covered with trick-or-treating around the park during every one of their Halloween themed weekends. If you want to participate in passing out candy you can simply hang up the sign that the front desk will give you at check-in, if you don’t no worries! There’s still plenty to do and your little ones can still don their costumes and get their trick-or-treat on.
decorations galore
Halloween glamping wouldn’t be complete without decorations! Not only will you enjoy the decorations around the resort but you’re encouraged to decorate your site as well! It’s fun to walk around Tower Park Resort and see all the decorations that people have up at their campsites. There’s even a contest for the funniest, scariest, and most original decorated sites! Many of their activities during their Halloween weekends have a special spooky touch too. There are Halloween movies for their outdoor movie nights and a special haunted “Hey” Ride with skull glow sticks. I love that so much thought has been put into the special Halloween touches on everything.
explore a haunted house
If you have big kids in your group you’ll definitely want to check out the haunted house at Tower Park Resort! All campers get one free admission, or if you’re just local to the Lodi area you can buy a ticket. My kids were so excited to go! I definitely had my reservations about taking all my little ones but they did so well! The scare actors were very respectful when they saw us coming through with our kids. I really appreciated that they completely backed off when we walked through. I hadn’t been through a haunted maze for several years and I thought this one was really well done!
enjoy Fall on the Delta
The weather was beautiful during our stay at Tower Park Resort. The icing on the cake was that we rented a pontoon boat from the marina and enjoy time out on the Delta. We’ve never been out there on the water before so we had a ton of fun on the boat. Marina rentals are available all year so take advantage of the off season! Of course, don’t forget about all the fun amenities that Tower Park Resort offers all year round! Some of their amenities aren’t available during their off season. Always be sure to check their website to see what fun you can enjoy in the Fall! You can read all about them in my Jellystone Park-Tower Park Resort review.
