You know our family loved our LEGOLAND trips last year! Having annual passes was such a fun experience for our family. We’re so thankful that before they expired were were able to participate in some of the special celebrations happening this year. LEGOLAND California celebrated their 20th birthday in 2019! The year might be halfway over (how?!) but the celebration is still going strong! Check out these five reasons why you should celebrate your birthday at LEGOLAND California Resort.
how to celebrate a birthday at LEGOLAND
splurge on a birthday party package
During our year of having annual passes we celebrated five birthdays at LEGOLAND. We did it our own way, staying at the hotels and letting the birthday boy or girl pick the first ride of the day and dinner. However, LEGOLAND also offers different birthday party packages if you want to go that route while celebrating your birthday at LEGOLAND. There are three different packages to choose from and they all include free admission for the birthday child!

pick up a special souvenir for the birthday boy or girl
There are so many fun souvenirs you can pick up during your visit to LEGOLAND. From building kits, to pop badges, to fun photo op memories with your favorite characters! Be sure while you’re there to find something to remember the birthday trip by. And if you’re a pass holder don’t forget to use your discount!

check out the new attractions
Lots of exciting things have been happening this year so what better way to celebrate your birthday at LEGOLAND than by checking out the new attractions? Recently the Duplo Playtown moved locations to the Ridge where you can also find Kid Power Tower. A new themed area will be taking its old spot in 2020 and my kids can’t wait to see it! The Coast Cruise also had a few birthday makeovers to celebrate 20 years that are quite festive. There are also special shows, a new 4D movie, and birthday pins and pop badges to collect!

enjoy special treats for your birthday at LEGOLAND
One of our favorite things to do at any theme park is enjoy the delicious treats! Apple fries at Granny’s Apple Fries on Castle Hill is a classic favorite treat, but you can get them year-round. We always enjoy stopping at Castle Ice Cream and seeing what specialty monster shake they have. This birthday shake was over the top with delicious birthday goodness! Check out that cupcake on top!

make it a slumber party at a LEGOLAND Resort hotel
While we had our LEGOLAND passes we stayed at both hotels at the LEGOLAND Resort in California. Since then I’ve had people ask me several times if it’s worth the cost. My answer is yes! If you are going for a special reason–like celebrating your birthday at LEGOLAND–then splurging for a night or two is totally worth it. Both hotels are incredibly family-friendly and have fun LEGO touches everywhere you turn. Just can’t fit it in your budget? You can still take your kids to explore the lobby and hallways (be sure to take a ride on an elevator) or eat at one of the hotel restaurants!

What a fun place to spend a birthday!! We just got season passes to Legoland here in Florida and we have loved spending time there.
I love the idea of celebrating with an experience like this one!
We don’t have much in the way of theme parks around here, but I’m sure my kids would be over the moon to celebrate their birthday at a place like LEGOLAND.
Im planning to visit Legoland March 06, 2022 on my grandsons 7th Birthday is it still free admission on birthdays?
Unfortunately, the free birthday promotion was only in 2019 for the celebration of LEGOLAND California’s 20th birthday.
