Hello everyone! We are back from our vacation and already missing it. It’s always nice to be home… but it’s also nice when someone else is doing the cooking and cleaning for you. Plus, sleeping in and not hearing sass for a week is pretty awesome too. Luckily, with these Dole Whip floats that I’m sharing today can make it seem like you’re on vacation right in your own kitchen. Some links contain affiliates, all opinions are my own.
where does Dole Whip come from?
If you’ve ever been to a Disney park or Hawai’i than you’ve probably had a Dole Whip. Even if you haven’t I know you’ve at least heard of them. You can find other places that sell them (other theme parks or ice cream shops) but it’s a little bit like finding a unicorn… or a child who listens the first time.
Just keeping it real folks.
If you’ve ever tried to recreate Dole Whip at home than you’ve probably discovered a multitude of recipes on Pinterest. I know I did a search and found several variations, some more complicated than others. None of them seemed right though and ALL of them seemed way too involved. There’s no way that theme parks are cranking out thousands of Dole Whips everyday with a recipe that involves a ton of steps.
That’s when I discovered the real, true, 100% authentic Dole Whip recipe. Well, sort of.

A lot of people are shocked when I tell them that you can buy the Pineapple Dole mix from Amazon! This is the authentic, Dole Whip product that you love and buy every time you go to the happiest place on earth–but for a fraction of the cost. This little bag from Amazon makes a ton so it will last you awhile. You can also find their other Dole Whip flavors online.
You can mix it up and eat it straight (I recommend eating right away, the consistency changes ones you freeze it, although it’s still tasty!) or you can add some chilled pineapple juice to make Dole Whip floats!
Another tip is to use half water and half milk for a creamier texture like you’re used to. Unless you have a commercial mixer the texture will be a little off… but honestly you’ll barely notice. This is one of our favorite treats to whip up when the temperatures start climbing!
Do you like Dole Whip floats? Have you tried any flavors besides Pineapple?

I don’t think I’ve had a Dole Whip yet (maybe once?), but I’ve certainly seen them at Disney World a lot. People just seem to go crazy for Dole Whips, so I’m kind of surprised by how unknown it is that you can just buy the mix to recreate your favorite vacation treat at home. In my book, that makes you a bit of genius. Why take the extra steps to recreate the recipe when it’s already available?!? Thanks for sharing your Dole Whip research with us!
I keep seeing various recipes for a Dole Whip pop up on Pinterest! These sound and look amazing! So refreshing and perfect for summer.
