If you caught my Instagram Stories last night than you saw all the fun we had! Our family attended the opening night of Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment at the Golden 1 Center. We were so excited to see another Disney on Ice show and couldn’t wait to see some new characters take to the ice. This post is in collaboration with Disney on Ice and we were gifted tickets to opening night of Worlds of Enchantment. Our family would like to give a big thank you to Feld Entertainment and Disney on Ice for hosting us. From the pre-show activity and character meet-and-greet to watching the performers on the ice it was a fantastic night.
picking the best Disney on Ice show for your family
As of November 2019 there are five different Disney on Ice shows to choose from:
- Worlds of Enchantment will have you under the sea and in snow with characters from Frozen and The Little Mermaid. Disney•Pixar’s Cars and Toy Story‘s favorite faces come together too so everyone in your family will leave happy!
- Mickey’s Search Party will take you on a quest with Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan, Ariel, and more! This fun show also features an additional story time character experience with Belle that you can purchase tickets for. Mickey’s Search Party will be coming to the Golden 1 Center in February 2020!
- Celebrate Memories takes us along with characters from Moana, Toy Story, and Frozen on an adventure you’ll never forget. Disney princesses join the cast on ice too for a full stage!
- Road Trip Adventures is led by Mickey and his crew while they navigate us to fun. They join all our favorite characters from Moana, The Lion King, Aladdin, and Toy Story 4. Check out a whole new world of adventure right from your seats!
- Dream Big will have you believing in yourself as you watch some of your favorite characters take to the ice! Join Miguel, Moana, Anna and Elsa, and more Disney princesses as they show what dreaming big can do!
Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment
I was excited for Worlds of Enchantment because of the characters we’d see. I knew there would be a good mix of Disney princesses along with Disney•Pixar’s Cars and Toy Story Characters. Sure enough, the show opened with a little introduction from Mickey and Minnie and then the cast of Toy Story 3 taking to the ice and performing a shortened version of the movie. It was pretty fun to see all the giant toys skating around the ice!
After Toy Story my girls went wild when Ariel skated onto the ice. We sang along to all our favorite songs from The Little Mermaid while we watched Ariel and Prince Eric fall in love and defeat Ursula. The colors and costumes used during this portion were really fun to see!
After a brief intermission Lightning McQueen and all his buddies drove out on the ice to help Mickey and Minnie. This part didn’t feature any amazing stunts, but it was awesome seeing those big cars on the ice!
Worlds of Enchantment ended with Frozen. Much like when we saw it during Dare to Dream, it was a shortened story line of the movie. Although, they did things slightly different than in Dare to Dream. Frozen is always a big crowd pleaser because it brings together snow and pyrotechnics. And of course my kiddos were singing and dancing along to their favorite songs from our seats!
tips for saving money
You can definitely plan a Disney on Ice experience on a budget. Start by looking for a discount code, there are always some floating around before a show. Do a quick on line search or see if any area bloggers are sharing a discount code. For example, you can save 20% on select seats and performances with the code MAGIC!
Save money once you’re in the venue by setting expectations beforehand. Let your kids know if you’ll be buying souvenirs or snacks. There are going to be a lot of fun and flashy things to buy. I recommend getting a snack or two to share (they come with souvenirs!) and skipping on the other toys and light-up gizmos. Bring your own glow wands from the dollar store! And if your little prince or princess just has to have a toy I have a tip for you. As we were leaving they were selling grab bags outside that all had five items in them for only $10! I’m not sure if that’s something they always do but definitely check around if you’re interested.

It looks like so much fun. I want to take my kids to a show I know they would love it. There is one coming to our area in the spring, so fingers crossed we can make one of the dates work.
