23 days until Halloween–the countdown is on! I don’t know about your household but my kids have been excited for weeks. Depending on where you are this year’s Halloween festivities might look a little different. But there’s no reason why you can’t still have fun and make some spooky and delicious treats while you’re at it. These mini monster Halloween cakes literally take about a minute to make and kids can even make their own for a fun activity! Be sure to check out the video to see just how easy they are to create!
1 minute Halloween cakes

Once you’ve decided on which monsters and Halloween creatures you want to make you can prepare your frosting (I prefer homemade buttercream but store-bought is fine!) to be the right colors. Keep white for a mummy or ghost, tint orange for pumpkins, or use green for Frankenstein’s monster or a witch. Chocolate frosting could even be a werewolf!
As you can see, this “recipe” really is as simple as putting some frosting and sprinkles on a mini cake. Trust me when I say anyone could do it–I have close to zero cake decorating skills! And if you don’t have fancy piping bags a plastic baggie with the corner cuts out does the trick just fine. I do recommend picking up a couple frosting tips though if you don’t already own some. They’re inexpensive and can make a big difference, especially if you want to make mummy wrappings or werewolf fur, wink wink.
Do you have any fun Halloween treats you like to make? What monster would you turn your cake into?
