By now you know how much my family loves to travel together. Our epic road trip this summer took us through four states. We visited a theme park, a water park, and a National Park. Lots of memories were made and we’re already planning our next adventure. Scratch that–we’re always planning our next adventure! Speaking of adventure, one of our favorites is spending a day at a theme park together. Luckily for us, California has plenty to choose from! Today I’m sharing a little more about all these California fun spots and I have a great printable for you if you want to check out some of these California theme parks with your family! southern California
Let’s be honest–when people think of California theme parks they think of southern California yet. Orange County has Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm. The San Diego area has Legoland and Sea World. Then of course the Los Angeles area is home to Universal Studios and Six Flags Magic Mountain. There’s also a handful of waterparks in southern California too! After all, if there’s something that southern Californians love it’s the water.

Just because southern California seems to get all the theme park love doesn’t mean you should write it off! No theme park bucket list for our state would be complete without including our northern California offerings! The outlaying Bay Area has Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and California’s Great America–the only California theme park with a water park inside included in admission!

California theme parks bucket list
For today’s post I wanted to give y’all a little something special. What do all my California friends need? A printable bucket list of all the California theme parks of course! Luckily, I’ve got a super talented friend Hayley from Camp Castle Playmats who I knew would be perfect for lending her talents for this project! The result is the ultimate bucket list of California theme parks and I love how it turned out!
Full disclosure–even this list doesn’t necessarily include every location you might consider an amusement park in California. Even though I tried to include all the water parks and smaller parks our state offers, I probably missed a few. Feel free to add your own bullet points if you have a small, local place that you love and didn’t make the list! In fact, let me know about it below!
