Happy National S’mores Day! I know I don’t share a ton of recipes anymore, but I couldn’t let today pass by without sharing something delicious with y’all. Preferably something delicious with chocolate and marshmallows, of course. I’ve shared several fun recipes for s’mores before and even some fun s’mores charcuterie boards but today I have something a little different. If you like to go camping or glamping with your family but haven’t tried campfire cones yet now is the time! This is the perfect end of summer activity for your family to enjoy together!
making the perfect summer dessert
Our family loves to travel together. Camping (and glamping!) is an especially fun experience. We unplug and have fun in the great outdoors. We make memories outside that we talk about for months and years afterwards! And cooking meals around a campfire is one of our favorite camping experiences. After a long day of hiking and exploring there’s nothing better than sitting down together as a family around the campfire.

campfire cones ingredients:
- sugar cones
- chocolate chips
- mini marshmallows
- optional: yogurt-covered raisins, dried fruit
To assemble your campfire cones you take an empty sugar ice cream cone and fill it with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips. Get creative with your flavor combos! Also have some other options on hand to add in, like dried fruit. Once your cone is filled wrap it in aluminum foil and place in hot coals till everything melts together!
