If you like Harry Potter like we do then you already know that it’s officially his birthday month! We always like to have a a fun little movie watch party on his birthday (July 31) to celebrate. Today I’ve created some fun printables for your Harry Potter movie night. Make sure you tag me on Instagram if you use them and share–I can’t wait to see!
tips for a Harry Potter movie night
Pick your movie. With so many films in the franchise it can be hard to narrow it down and pick just one! For Harry Potter’s birthday we often pick the first one (since that’s the one that showcases his famous pink birthday cake), however they’re all fun to watch! Just remember that the movies get darker as you work through the series so if you have really little ones plan accordingly.
Plan your snacks. It’s so fun to plan a menu for a Harry Potter movie night because there are so many great foods and beverages featured in the books and movies. Will you have a full sit down dinner, or just feature treats you’d find on the trolley cart? Check out some of these simple recipes you can find right here on the blog:

I created a page of fun Hogsmeade movie tickets and Wizarding World money. You can print them out on colored paper or have your little witches and wizards color them in. The money is great for them to earn during the week leading up to their movie night. Then when it’s time for your family Harry Potter movie night they can buy their own tickets and snacks.
