Last year someone “gobbled” us during the season of thanks and it was so much fun we had to keep it going! I thought that this idea would be something neat to share with all of you. So, I tweaked the image we received slightly and now I can share this Thanksgiving neighbor gift on the blog. You might have heard of being “boo’d” at Halloween–this is a fun variation of that!

Thanksgiving neighbor gift

It’s such a fun activity to round up the family and go for a drive. Bonus–sometimes people will already have their Christmas lights up! Dropping off goodies to friends and neighbors helps to teach your little ones kindness and gratitude. Plus, doing it in secret makes it extra fun! If you’ve never done a ding dong ditch mission like this, you need multiple copies of the printable. I usually like to give them two so they don’t have to necessarily make a copy and can still pass it on.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Colossians 3:15 KJV

what should you give?

There’s no right or wrong answer. We “gobbled” our friends with a fun coloring tablecloth and some sweet treats. It doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive–in fact, dropping off homemade goodies is definitely my preference! Now you just have to think about who you want to secretly gobble. Personally, our kids like to pick the hardest houses to drop off in secret as they can. The challenge makes it more fun!
