3 great states to visit with your family
There are lots of great states to visit in our beautiful country and this is bar far not a comprehensive list. For example, I’m sure some people will be shocked that Hawai’i hasn’t made the list. And with eight national parks and beautiful glaciers Alaska is high on my bucket list locations. However, today I wanted to make sure and include states that are easily accessible. These states are spread out across the United States and no matter where you live you could road trip or easily catch a flight to any of them.
states to visit
South Carolina
South Carolina is known for its beautiful beaches, the well-kept historic districts, and for being the birthplace of sweet tea. We visited last December while seeing family during the holidays. We were able to cram a lot of sightseeing into a few days we had and I came away with an appreciation for this lovely southern state. There’s even a major theme park, Carowinds, that straddles the two Carolinas and is part of the Cedar Fair family. Blend historical sights with family fun destinations by checking out these places:

Texas
After living there for a couple of years, Texas will always hold a special place in my heart. The Lonestar state is the second largest in the union (second only to Alaska) so there’s a lot of places your could explore. The Texas Panhandle is home to Texas Tech University and a short drive to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Meanwhile, the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area has attractions like Six Flags Over Texas and the Fort Worth Water Gardens. If you’re heading to Texas Hill Country though, be sure and read our recommendations:

California
Of course I had to mention my home state of California because I truly feel like there’s on place like it. We have beaches, mountains, deserts, forests, and farmlands. There are countless theme parks and the most national parks of any state in the U.S. It’s a big state with lots to do and fun for the whole family. Don’t expect to come for a long weekend and see it all though! If you’re planning a trip to the Golden State read these blog posts to get planning:
