This past weekend I kicked off my year as an official Knott’s Berry Ambassador with a summit held at California’s first theme park. It was a fun experience to be amongst so many content creators who focus on amusement parks and southern California events. In addition to all the exciting new changes coming to Knott’s theme park and hotel in 2023, we also talked a lot about the Seasons of Fun at Knott’s Berry Farm. Keep reading for all the details and be sure to save to Pinterest for reference throughout the year! As a Knott’s Ambassador I’m here to share the latest information and my personal opinion and experiences with you. As a Get Way Today partner some links may contain affiliates.
Seasons of Fun at Knott’s
Peanuts Celebration
Daily, January 28th-February 26th
The first of the celebrations at Knott’s Berry Farm focuses on the PEANUTS™ gang! Everyone’s favorite beagle and his friends will be celebrated while they take over the park. Make sure to check out the fun, comic-book inspired photo ops throughout the park. There’s also lots of unique food offerings, many of which are dining plan eligible. Lastly, there are many new shows and lots of new merchandise that will only be available during the Peanuts Celebration, so don’t let it pass you by!
Boysenberry Festival
Daily, March 10th-April 16th
The boysenberry is a hybrid mix of raspberries, loganberries and blackberries and it’s the fruit that helped put Walter Knott’s berry stand on the map. The Boysenberry Festival celebrates this berry with plenty of unique food and drink options featuring the juicy, purple berry. The festival also showcases local crafters, live music, musical stage shows, and fun activities the whole family will love.
Knott’s Soak City
Select Dates, May 13th-September 10th
Knott’s Soak City opened on June 17, 2000 and has been keeping guests cool ever since. Soak City is a separately gated 15-acre waterpark located adjacent to the parking lot of Knott’s Berry Farm. It offers guests a break form the southern California heat with 23 waterslides, a 750,000-gallon Tidal Wave Bay wavepool, a lazy river, and a three story water fun house. Your Gold and Platinum passes offer admission to Soak City when it’s open.
Ghost Town Alive/Summer Nights
Daily, May 19th-September 4th
There’s so much to do at Knott’s Berry Farm in the summertime! Ghost Town Alive! happens 10 a.m. on select dates and at 5:30 p.m. Participating in Ghost Town Alive! is like stepping back in time in an interactive, theme park experience like no other. Meanwhile, Knott’s Summer Nights is back this year to add some excitement once the sun goes down. With live music and specialty food and merchandise, there’s something for the whole family.

Scary Farm
Select Nights, September 14th-October 31st
I went to Knott’s Scary Farm many times while I was growing up and the event is still going strong today. This separated ticket event happens after the rest of the park has closed for the evening. This year Knott’s Scary Farm is celebrating 50 years of terror with more monsters, scare zones, and new mazes. Even select rides have been spookified and filled with scare actors. Limited merchandise is available through the event as well. This event is not recommended for children under the age of 13.
Spooky Farm
Daytime Thursday-Sunday September 28th-October 29th, Halloween
Spooky Farm is the daytime Halloween event that the whole family can enjoy together. Young guests can trick or treat around ghost town, and Halloween activities will entertain everyone. Seasonal treats, ride overlays, special entertainment, and limited merchandise are all available during this not-so-scary Halloween event. Unlike Scary Farm, Spooky Farm is included in your normal theme park admission.
Merry Farm
Daily, November 17th- January 7th, 2024
I must admit, this is my favorite of all the Seasons of Fun at Knott’s Berry Farm. The entire park is transformed during Merry Farm with decorations and lights that go along with the park area they’re in. You can see Santa, carolers, and a snowfall in one magical visit. There’s even a Christmas Crafts Village that you can access in Ghost Town on select days without a theme park ticket. The special holiday treats and shows are also a highlight of the season.
