Last week my oldest girls had a galentine party and streamed the Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert. I am not a “Swiftie”, but I knew my girls were really excited to see it. I also knew that they would have way more fun watching it with friends than just watching it with me. So, together we planned a streaming galentine party. how to throw a streaming galentine party
Did you know that the word “Galentine” was officially added to merriam-webster.com in September of 2022? Yeah, I didn’t either! But regardless of if you knew that or not, it is officially a thing and definitely a fun excuse to get together with friends for Valentine’s Day. Galentine’s Day is technically on February 13, but can really be celebrated anytime in the first half of February. And planning a party doesn’t have to be hard. If you plan a streaming galentine party, the rest just falls into place.

awesome activities
Obviously, the main activity for a streaming galentine party is whatever you’re choosing to watch. For my girls it was the Eras Tour. However, since the Eras Tour is approximately three hours, we did plan a couple other low-key activities the girls could do while they watched. I set out friendship making supplies (of course), and each girl was able to decorate their own cupcake with frosting and sprinkles. This doubled as an activity, and a sweet treat.

sweet snacks
We did plan our streaming galentine party for dinner time, so pizza was an easy and inexpensive dinner option for the girls. We also had fruit and marshmallow kabobs made to look like friendship bracelets with edible markers. That and the cupcakes the girls decorated rounded out their food for the evening. However, popcorn and a candy bar would be more fun ideas for snacks at at Galentine’s Day party.
