Spring is here and with it comes all sorts of creepy crawlies. I’m not a fan of most real bugs, but I am a fan of the 2D version on paper! Learning about insects can be so fun, especially for little kids. That’s why I created these free bug worksheets! Usually when I make worksheets I try to make some for younger and for older kids. However, this time I focused on making some fun bug-themed worksheets for preschool and kindergarten. I honestly had so much fun creating these and I hope you (and your students) love them!
what kind of bug worksheets are included?
I wanted to create bright and fun worksheets that would appeal to younger learners. Three out of four of the bug worksheets for preschoolers and kindergartners use color clipart. Meanwhile, the butterfly lifecycle worksheets is black and white so that students can color, cut, and glue to work on their fine motor skills. This butterfly life cycle worksheet is great to accompany a longer lesson to help reinforce concepts! The bee maze is also a fun practice in fine motor skills. Basic math and ELA skills are demonstrated in the counting and sight word pages. These might be a little advanced for some preschool, or even kindergarten, students. Remember that all students learn at different stages!
I hope that you and your students love these bug worksheets. If you use them and share them online for any reason, I would love to see them! It is a labor of love creating and sharing these free resources on my website and I love to see them being used!
