Our family just got back (literally less than an hour ago) from another magical night at Disney on Ice. This time we were able to watch Mickey’s Search Party. We actually saw this show almost five years ago, but we noticed some fun differences. Whether it’s your first time attending or you’re a Disney on Ice pro, here’s everything you need to know to make your family’s night out unforgettable!
What is Disney on Ice: Mickey’s Search Party?
If you’ve never been to a Disney on Ice show before, you’re in for a true treat. Other than just world-class skating, Disney on Ice shows bring together thrilling acrobatics, dazzling skating performances, and immersive special effects. In Mickey’s Search Party in particular, there’s also lots of audience participation as Mickey and his friends follow clues to rescue Tinker Bell. Along the way they discover the magic of Coco, Moana, and Frozen, just to name a few.
Disney on Ice: Mickey’s Search Party—what to expect and how to make the most of your experience!
1. An Interactive Experience for All Ages
What sets Mickey’s Search Party apart from other Disney on Ice shows is its interactive and immersive approach. This production pulls the audience into the storyline by taking fans on an exciting quest alongside our favorite Disney characters. As Mickey and his friends try to rescue Tinker Bell, audiences can expect to cheer, sing along, and become part of the story.

From the stunts to the special effects, kids and parents alike will feel like they’re stepping right into the world of Disney magic. The show’s energy and vibrant colors draw everyone into the action, and with plenty of chances to clap, cheer, and move to the music, it’s not just a sit-and-watch show—it’s an interactive Disney adventure. Note–the Moana and Te Fiti scene may be intense for young audience members.
2. Favorite Disney Characters and Stories Brought to Life
Your family can expect to see a line-up of Disney’s most beloved characters, including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy. The show’s central storyline follows these classic characters as they search for Tinker Bell’s missing pixie dust, and along the way, they encounter iconic Disney princesses and heroes, each adding their own unique magic to the journey.

This year’s Mickey’s Search Party features fan-favorites from movies like Beauty and the Beast, Coco, Aladdin, Frozen, and The Little Mermaid. Highlights include dazzling performances like Elsa’s powerful rendition of “Let It Go,” some aerial magic from Ariel and Prince Eric, and a heartwarming tribute to the spirit of Coco’s Día de los Muertos celebration.
3. High-Energy Acrobatics and Stunts on Ice
One of my favorite parts of Mickey’s Search Party is the acrobatics and stunts that bring each story to life. The dancers in Coco and the ice harvesters in Frozen particularly stand out and wow the crowd. The Aladdin scene was also very high energy, with some fun trampoline stunts and pyrotechnics used. Note–the small bursts of sparks from Genie may bother those with sensory issues.
family-friendly tips for attending Mickey’s Search Party
To help you and your family make the most of your Disney on Ice experience, here are a few tips to ensure a magical night:
