A copy cat recipe for Leatherby's or Fenton's toasted almond ice cream.
Dry roast the crushed almonds on the stove top, allow to cool.
In a medium bowl, whisk the milk and granulated sugar together until sugar is dissolved. Stir in the heavy cream and extracts. Turn on your mixer and pour mixture in.
About halfway through, add in your almonds and food coloring, if desired.
Once the ice cream maker is finished, allow ice cream to continue hardening a few hours in the freezer, or eat soft serve as is.
